Why We Built This Site
Public access in West Virginia begins with court level. Circuit Clerk Julie Ball keeps Mercer Circuit and Family material, while Magistrate Clerk Karmin Richmond holds Magistrate records. Bluefield, Princeton, Athens, Bramwell, and Matoaka each control their own ordinance-court files. WVPASS and MCRSearch likewise serve different courts. We brought those custody lines, official contacts, request steps, and portal fields together because a sound Mercer County lookup starts by sending the request to the office that actually maintains the case.

What We Cannot Do
Mercer County Court Docket is a privately run reference site, not a West Virginia court, clerk, municipality, or agency. Because official authority remains with those offices, we cannot:
- issue a certified docket, order, disposition, or other court document;
- retrieve an official case file on a visitor's behalf;
- alter, seal, remove, or correct a docket entry;
- set, reset, or confirm a hearing date;
- interpret a particular case or provide legal advice; or
- promise that every published fee, contact, or setting remains current.
An official or certified copy must come from the clerk or court that keeps the original Mercer County file. We identify that office, but we cannot produce its record.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes shown on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, prices, terms, and data practices. We may receive a referral payment when a visitor follows one of those tools and buys a service, which supports free access to the reference material. We neither set a partner's charge nor decide which records its search returns.
